True self manifested in the first reaction

There was a briefing by our new investors yesterday and i missed it because i was on leave. My colleagues told me that the investors didn't really say anything much. It was just the same old crap about how confident they were in this company. Court granted more time to us (again!) and this means that i would have to continue waiting.

Sigh, too many things to do and too little time.

Nay, i'm not talking about work. I'm referring to my posts on our Cameron Highland trip. There are so many pictures and so many things to write about that i simply couldn't do it today. I gotta have my beauty sleep now so i won't be able to post up the 1st part of the post for our Cameron Highland trip. Hopefully i'll have it out tomorrow.

Since i'm already writing (or typing) now, there's something on my mind that i might as well put it down as well.

Read a post by a famous blogger today and she mentioned about an incident she encountered in a cinema and how she had treated someone rudely. In her post, she apologized to the person whom she had treated badly and blamed her bad behaviours on PMS.

Some people complimented her for her courage in admitting her wrongdoing and apologized for it, while some highlighted that she should learnt how to control her temper and shouldn't use PMS as a reason whenever she gave others shit.

I think a person's first reaction to an unpleasant incident is always a good indicator of our real characters; it's a display of our personalities in the rawest form as we didn't have the time to think and condition our behaviours with reasons and social conformity. Anything we do after-the-fact is mostly after much thoughts and governed by our rational minds that are sophisticated by moral values and educational or social systems.

So what am i getting at? Am i saying that this famous blogger is a nasty person? Well, maybe she is in nature. Who knows? My point is not to judge. I just thought that if we wanna do some introspection, perhaps we could think back to our first reactions to the various incidents in our lives, especially unpleasant ones. Then we may realize that our shortcomings are often manifested in those experiences, and through them, we could change ourselves to become a better person.

I totally agreed with you on this point. It take a certain kind of people to behave that way, I think. Not to say it can't be improved, though, as you have explained in more details here.

Didn't wan to comment that on her blog, because then i will sound nasty. Especially, if she has a one tracked mind and didn't think to look at the bigger picture of self-improvement. I am saying "if", because since I dunno her, she maybe IS taking this encounter and experience to improve some parts of her behaviour.

Aiks, how come I so cover backside today. hehe. Must be some experience at work. Haha.

Did you read the story written by the "victim"? The sequence of the event seemed to be a bit different from what she wrote, on the part where the little kid cried. She made it seemed like the baby had been crying before their arguement, but the guy's story was that the crying only happened after they've quarreled. See how we view things differently from a perspective that benefits us?

Anyway, it's very clear that who's in the wrong on this and i do hope that she takes this incident as a learning point (but somehow i doubt so leh). :)

Yah I read it before commenting here yesterday.

I am doubting too. But I maintained that we dunno her well enuf to say tat. Hehe. ;)

Aiyo, now you gotta write everything in a backside-covering manner is it?

Actually you don't have to worry about your butt being kicked by her fans. If i've guessed correctly, your company should have plenty of medical supplies for a badly ripped backside. :p

Haha.. i am too conscious of what i write to write interesting stuffs, if you get wat i mean....

yeah, i worked with a drug manufacturer... how about you? i guess you are a malaysian working in singapore too rite? where?

Heehee, so i was right.

Allow me to guess it further with strings of clues about the company at which you are working -- US MNC, strange name that i can't pronounce, extremely huge manufacturing compound, west side...

If i'm correct, dun be shocked. I'm not a stalker and i don't know you. Just that my work place is very near to the 2nd link. ;)

Yes, i'm your fellow compatriot working in Singapore. As for where and what... now you make a guess.

Wrote to you at your gmail.

Yeah I worked really next to the 2nd link, and my office looks into the sea.
